Captain. Johny D’silva began maritime career as a Radio Officer before transitioning to a Deck Cadet and eventually working as a Master on offshore vessels. Entering the oil & gas industry opened up a completely new career path for him to gain valuable project experience both onshore and offshore. This journey has led him to his current role, where he manage multiple responsibilities across the globe. He is an Affiliated Associate Fellow Member of Nautical Institute UK (AFNI), IMCA Inspector (AVI) and a approved Ørsted Renewables vessel inspector .
Captain. Johny D’Silva serves as the Director at Lucio Marine, overseeing regional management and development across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With over 29 years of both offshore and onshore experience globally. He is a dedicated and diligent maritime professional, known for his energetic team spirit, strong organizational skills, and specialized expertise with his long seagoing background serving as master and senior officer on both offshore and merchant vessels.
Captain D’Silva has a proven track record of success in the maritime, oil & gas, and renewable energy industries. His expertise spans a wide range of maritime roles, including Master Mariner, Marine Advisor, Marine Superintendent, Marine Consultant, Marine Surveyor, and Marine Inspector. He is proficient in marine assurance, dynamic positioning assurance, IMCA inspections, marine warranty surveying, as well as heavy lift offshore structures loadouts and transportation. Additionally, he has extensive experience in towing offshore floating structures, heavy lift cargo operations, transporting subsea structures, subsea flexible pipe transpooling, managing a wide range of offshore vessels for projects, and offshore vessel operations and management.
Captain Johny D’Silva excels in providing guidance on both national and international conventions and regulations, as well as in the oil & gas and renewable energy industry. His extensive qualifications encompass various project disciplines, including vessel chartering and tendering, logistics, client relations, and DP class vessel assurance. He is proficient in developing marine procedures for vessels and projects, witnessing DP trials, conducting oversight verification, performing task risk assessments, HIRA, and SIMOPS, and investigating incidents. Additionally, he has vast experience managing cargo barge operations in ports, offshore, shallow waters, and landfall projects. He also possess extensive knowledge of ocean tows, tug operations, and heavy lift cargo vessels on projects.
